Mark McKenzie is a decorated Marine Corps combat veteran, serial entrepreneur, and nationally recognized government contractor. After two combat tours in Iraq — earning the Combat Action Ribbon and two Navy Commendations — he transitioned into the offshore oil and gas industry, working with ExxonMobil, Statoil, Maersk, and Transocean in the Gulf of Mexico.

Mark founded DefenderCo, a veteran-owned government contracting firm delivering high-quality services to federal and institutional clients nationwide. In 2022, he launched EnGulf Waste, operating a growing fleet of waste management vehicles along the Louisiana and Mississippi Gulf Coast. A committed member of the VFW and American Legion, Mark carries the same sense of duty from the battlefield into every venture he leads.
